Inasmuch as marriage is the legal union of only one two man men, or two women, or one man and one woman and one woman as husband and wife, spouses. no other legal union that is treated as marriage or the substantial equivalent thereof shall be valid or recognized. Florida recognizes both opposite-sex marriages and same-sex marriages.
