PUB 700429: Term Limits for All Elected Offices in Florida That Currently Have None by Nathan DiPietro

ARTICLE VI: SUFFRAGE AND ELECTIONS, New Section.

Catchline: Term limits for elected offices in the state of Florida

Any state, city, county, or similar government official who is elected by the electorate in Florida shall be limited to 3 terms in a specific office if there is no term limit in force by law or this Constitution for that office. However, if the term for a given office is two years or less, there shall be for that office a limit of four terms for each person who holds that office. This section specifically includes the legislative, executive, and judicial branches of the state government; and counties, municipalities, and districts; and each constitutional officer, board, and commission, or entity created pursuant to law or this Constitution that is voted on by the electorate of the respective region.
