PUB 700443: Article I Section 4: Corporations Are Not People and Money Is Not Speech by Dr. Reid Friedson
ARTICLE I: DECLARATION OF RIGHTS, Section 4. Freedom of speech and press.
Every person may speak, write and publish sentiments on all subjects but shall be responsible for the abuse of that right. No law shall be passed to restrain or abridge the liberty of speech or of the press. In all criminal prosecutions and civil actions for defamation the truth may be given in evidence. We the People of the State of Florida defend democracy and our republic from the influence of corporate corruption by establishing only human beings are endowed by their Creator with constititutional rights. To preserve the People of Florida's constitutional rights, we ordain and establish corporations are not people in the State of Florida and regulating political contributions is not equiavlent to limiting political speech.
