Catchline: All Medical Facilities'Staff Should. Have Complete Comprehension of The English Language

All medical records and test are in English. All of the codes are in English. Why then have staff whom themselves need an interpretor? It is ridiculous, risk and safety hazard. There is nothing wrong for a staff member to be fully bilingual. They are able to assist patients that are not fluent in English to understand what is going on. That is perfectly understandable. However the staff must speak,write,and read English. Translation mistakes can be costly to the facilities and a danger to the patients' health and progress. With all the medical colleges and certifications requiring the language competency test, how is anyone working in a medical facility without a complete comprehension of the English language as it is essential to the daily work load? The facilitie must test everyone for full competency prior to hiring to make sure the candidate is qualified for the position in full compacity.

All Medical Facilities shall have their Human Resource Department conduct English Competency test inorder to assure that the candidates are qualified to perform their duties in the fullest capacity. Language should not be a hinderance , but an asset to the patients and facilities. Any staff member currently working that is not fully bilingual should have 6 months to get a certificate that shows competency in the English language.
