PUB 700573: Repeal of Primary Enforcement of Seat Belt Violations by chris luz
ARTICLE XI: AMENDMENTS, New Section.
Catchline: repeal primary enforcement in SB 344 of 2009
In 2009 SB 344 was signed by Governor Crist, making seat belt violators subject to primary enforcement, authorizing law enforcement to stop motorists for seat belt infractions only. This amendment returns motorist seat belt violations, so long as the legislature continues to recognize them, to secondary status when a motorist has been stopped for a separate primary moving violation.
