Title: SAFETY AND FREEDOM OF PEOPLE OPERATING VEHICLES ON FLORIDA ROADWAYS

It is in the interest of the public to protect the safety of persons within Florida and to preserve the freedoms of drivers to choose how they operate vehicles, THEREFORE, any vehicle including commercial vehicles or trucks, personal vehicles or trucks, vehicles or trucks for hire, or any vehicle or truck or other form of transportation used on Florida roads which is deemed by a judge to be included in the intent of this proposal, which are operated on roadways within The State of Florida, must be under the control of a human, who is physically present in that vehicle at all times when the vehicle is being driven on public roadways within The State of Florida, at a speed which exceeds 10 miles per hour/16.09344 kilometers per hour. The only exceptions are for disabled persons or persons over the age of 65 years who are in a personal vehicle, which is owned by that person or leased by that person for the purpose of personal use only or uses incidental to personal use, the weight which does not exceed 5,000 U.S. pounds/2.5 U.S.tons, in which case those vehicles may be autonomous if the driver elects, but who cannot be restricted to an autonomous vehicle, except by a Judge. This proposal shall apply to vehicles no matter what the form of propulsion. This amendment, if passed, shall not prevent the use of safety warning features or features which assist operators from collisions but do not wholly drive the vehicle.
